Our Approach

Drawing on our love of nature, photography, and our backgrounds in biology and psychology, we bring warmth, humor, and genuine wonder to our presentations. Our goal is to pull back the curtain on the natural world, and once an audience sees what's been there all along, they can't stop looking. From high school students to seasoned birders, from community libraries to nature centers, our talks leave audiences educated, excited, and eager to step outside.

Our presentations are flexible by design. Whether you have sixty minutes or two hours, we tailor the experience to fit your audience and venue. We are equally comfortable with intimate gatherings and large groups, and always leave time for questions and conversation.

The Birds of Nebraska: Through Our Lens

We invite you to join us on a visual journey through the heart of Nebraska, where the Central Flyway carries millions of birds across the continent each year. Based in Omaha, we live at a natural crossroads, where the deciduous forests of the east meet the grasslands of the Great Plains and the doorway to the Rockies begins. It’s a landscape that reflects the incredible diversity of birds that pass through and call this region home. Our presentation tells the story of how we discovered the world of birding and, in time, how photography became our way of exploring it more deeply. Drawing on our backgrounds in biology and psychology, we’re fascinated not only by how birds look, but by how they live: their behavior, their character, and their connection to the landscapes they inhabit. Through images and stories, we share an intimate look at the birds of Nebraska and beyond, and we hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the beauty and wonder waiting all around us.
